    • I don’t know about a homesteader convention as such, but we attended a local (local to us, anyway) homesteader convention type meeting in the fall. It was billed as “homesteader days”. The event cost $10 per family. There were a variety of workshops held all day long and they provided food and refreshments. The meeting was held on a working homestead. The workshops were taught by people who actually homestead. They tell us that they have another homestead days planned for the spring. Check for a full write up in one of our back issues.

We are also toying with the idea of hosting a “convention” on our place.

      Hope that helps.
